Cloud- Bust at Rudraprayag, Badrinath highway affected

Uttrakhand: While frequent cloudbursts in Uttarakhand in the season of Monsoon, the occurrence in summer season shortly after the severe forest fire has caught government attention.

A huge cloudburst reported in Rudraprayag at Uttrakhand that left several pilgrims and tourists stranded. Meanwhile, the authorities have halted the traffic of Badrinath highway. The cloudburst caused a mudslide which washed into the farms of the local farmers. With overflowing of rivers causing water to enter into the towns and several other places, reminds the flash floods of 2013.
